history of peat-bog in brief
The peat-bog is found in 1960.Total area of peat land was 1200 hectares. On all surface of this area grew wood which is fell on 1965. In 1969 the peat land reclamation is carry out. The peat-bog exploitation was begin in 1976 and till 1987 was exhaust 600 hetares of peat bog. In 1991 peat-bog was beome privately-owned. In 2000 our company acquire 500 hectares of this peat-bog and 40.000 tons already extacted peat.

  • The peat-bog consist of 4 peat fields in total area of about 500 hectares
  • Fealds are closely located in distance 2-4 km from each other. 
  • The first peat field is 260 hectares the seond is 120 hectares the third is 40 hetares and the fourth is 70 hectares.
  • The peat bog is about 30% under exploitation  
  • Peat fields is from 1 metre to 2 metre in deep. 
  • The total capacity of peatlands is about 5.000.000 cubic metre of peat. 
  • All fiealds are equiped with drainage canel system. 
  • Peat fields contain the white peat suitable for agriculture puposes and dark peat perfectly suitable for peat fuel production.
  • On 120 hectares around peat fields is growing 35-45 years old birch wood which must be cut down for fire-prevention.
